The Comedy of Washesbleil from The Inquisitive Musician

The Inquisitive Musician is an adaptation of a 17th century German satire which pits itinerant “beer fiddlers” against the official city sanctioned “Kunstpfeifer” (or “art piper”) in an argument over who is the better musician and has the right to perform and be fairly compensated. The beer fiddlers are asked to perform a comedy to prove their skills. They decide to perform The Comedy of Wachesbleil.

In live performances of The Inquisitive Musician the comedy is presented on video. There is a stand alone version in addition to the cut designed for live performances of The Inquisitive Musician which is available for viewing on Vimeo by request.
